Baby-PreS–This adorable book for the youngest readers is an adventure introduction to the farm as diverse families take their little ones on a trip there. The simple text includes animal names, animal sounds, and some vocabulary-expanding descriptive words and onomatopoeia. The artwork shows a variety of toddlers interacting with their families and the animals. A bright palette is visually engaging, and the pictures have many things for children to point to and name.
VERDICT An excellent addition to any library needing books for vocabulary development for young readers. This is also an ideal introduction to farms for young readers or English-language learners.
