And here I thought ninjas were big last year. 2015 puts 2014 to shame. Shame!

Because I get ninja requests all the time in my school library, I bring you this list of children’s book containing ninjas in 2015.

Joey and Johnny, the Ninjas: Get Mooned by Kevin Serwacki; illustrated by Chris Pallace. Out now.

This book winds the award for Most Interesting Title on this list. It’s the first book in a new series.

The Sweetest Heist in History (Randi Rhodes, Ninja Detective #2) by Octavia Spencer. Out March 31, 2015

My Grandma’s a Ninja by Todd Tarpley; illustrated by Danny Chatzikonstantinou. Out now.

This book wins the This Opens Up a Whole New World of Ninja Possibilities award. I mean, brother, dad, mom, sister, cousin – the options here are endless.

Samurai Santa: A Very Ninja Christmas by Rubin Pingk. Out September 22, 2015.

A ninja Christmas story. While I should have seen this coming, I did not.

Ninja Timmy by Henrik Tamm. Out September 22, 2015

While most of the books on this list are about human ninjas, this debut novel gives a cat a sword.

Ninja Bunny by Jennifer Gray Olson. Out June 9, 2015.

This book functions as a ninja how-to, but, you know, with bunnies.

Little Kunoichi: The Girl Ninja by Sanae Ishida

The title of this one stuck me as anachronistic.

Ninja-rella: A Graphic Novel by Joey Cameau; illustrated by Omar Lozano. Out now.

As last year’s Ninja Red Riding Hood showed, there’s an interest for folktales and fables with a ninja twist.

Snoop Troop: Attack of the Ninja Potato Clones by Kirt Scroggs. Out April 21, 2015.

This is the second book in the Snoop Troop mystery series by the guy behind Tales of a Sixth-Grade Muppet.

The Ninja Librarians: The Sword in the Stacks by Jen Swann Downey. Out August 1, 2015.

The Ninja Librarians series continues…

Any I missed?
