ChristmasPageant We like sheepTomorrow I’ll be participating in my first  (and thus best, I suppose) Christmas pageant ever, with what seems to be a pretty Jesusy group of Unitarians. (They have a cross behind what passes for the altar, but a Mogen David hangs in the front.) My childhood Catholic church had a manger scene on the lawn in front of the rectory, but I don’t remember anybody dressing up as shepherds or Wise Men and processing–was it maybe a Protestant thing? Anyway, tomorrow’s event promises lots of adorable children including a live baby as the Baby and, I’m told, a kid who thinks he’s a dinosaur playing one of the sheep; I’ll be singing in the choir. Brave the snow and come on down.
