While Hart has made a name for himself doing how-to-draw-manga, Monstrously Funny Cartoons is a return to his gag-comic roots, and he’s very at home here. (Full disclosure: I edited Hart’s first book, How to Draw Cartoons for Comic Strips, and this one has a similar vibe.)
