Top 10 Circulated Books of 2014: #10-6

These books received more checkouts in my K-4 library than any others during the 2013-14 school year.

5. Bowling Alley Bandit (The Adventures of Arnie the Doughnut, Book 1) by Laurie Keller

It’s been great to see the popularity of this book take off. I’m a fan. I love that kids agree.

Guinness 2013 380x500 Top 10 Circulated Books of 2014: #5 1

4. Guinness World Records 2013

Thankfully, this edition of the perennial fan favorite does not contain a picture of my doppelganger.

Cloud Searchers 333x500 Top 10 Circulated Books of 2014: #5 1

3. The Cloud Searchers (Amulet, Book 3) by Kazu Kibuishi

The first book in the series appeared on the list yesterday (if memory serves, at #8), so it only makes sense to see another Amulet installment pop up. This is the sort of series where kids keep asking when the next one is coming.

Lego Star Wars 419x500 Top 10 Circulated Books of 2014: #5 1

2. Lego Star Wars: A Visual Dictionary

Friends, we are sitting in the middle of LEGO hysteria. The movie didn’t hurt, but there’s more to it than that. Licensing super-popular properties like Harry Potter and Star Wars has had a huge impact. We can’t keep LEGO books on the shelf.

Gun 500x414 Top 10 Circulated Books of 2014: #5 1

1. Gun: A Visual History

I knew this book would be in the top spot. You’re familiar with DK Eyewitness books, right? This is the same sort of thing, but about triple the length. There are a lot of fans of military stuff out there, and the popularity of this book proves it.
