Ah, technology, you vex us so. And it was all supposed to make life easier. Back in the day—in this case, 1991—librarians sought to stay current on the latest formats. In this October feature story for School Library Journal, Betty Bankhead attempted to provide just that for our readers—in the form of a CD-ROM collection development primer. "Efficient management of technology is essential to maintaining your other responsibilities, your credibility, and your sanity," wrote Bankhead, a librarian at Cherry Creek High School in Englewood, CO.
