Who would have expected knew that you could leverage the collective power of Google’s auto complete by mashing it up with a classic television game show?
Based on the Google API, and developed by Justin Hook, Google Feud is the new age Family Feud. The game invites you to choose from among four categories–culture, people, names and questions–and predict Google’s top 10 autocompletes for selected question stems you complete
Results are pulled directly from Google’s autocomplete and, aside from the gamey three-strikes stuff, it’s just plain fascinating to stop your own searching and predict and consider the types of questions people wonder about.
Before trying this with kiddos, be aware that some results may be offensive or just plain goofy. Of course, responses also skew toward technical how-tos.
Here’s an video intro from Gadget Hacks.
