Sponsored by LEGO® Education, the award honors creativity in programming and lesson plans that incorporate hands-on learning and its meaningful infusion in the library or classroom as led by the librarian or media specialist.
The criteria includes:
Creativity in space and program design Effectively integrating curricular objectives toward enhancing literacy through hands-on activity Demonstrated student engagement and impact on learning Cost-effectiveness and ease of replicationFeel free to nominate yourself or someone whose work you admire. To enter, submit a description of up to two pages describing the nominee to sljbuildsomethingbold@mediasourceinc.com with the “name of your school or library” in the subject line. A winner and two finalists will receive cash awards and be profiled in an upcoming SLJ feature story. The winner will also receive a classroom pack from sponsor LEGO Education.
