As you all probably already know, I work for a public library. My library system has a solid video games budget but like most librarians, I’m looking to get the best deal on video games. Since I won’t be posting on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, I decided to create a “Black Friday Wish List” of suggestions for you! Black Friday is a great day to go video game shopping, especially at places like Target, Walmart, or Amazon. I’ve found video games on sale for as low as $35 each, when they’re normally $60!
I understand that many libraries can’t afford every game that I judged to be a “primary” purchase, so you can ask me questions on Twitter or comment below. Also, I have to work on Black Friday and will be using #BlackFridayLibrarian on Twitter.
Finally, if you’re looking to upgrade your consoles for Game Nights, now is a good time if you’re dedicated to go out on Black Friday. I’ve seen Black Friday prices for Wii U for about $250.00; Xbox One 500G for $300; and PS4 bundles for $300. They’re pretty decent prices, especially if you can manage to get a bundle.
In order to not drive myself (or Karen) crazy, I had to make a Google Doc Spreadsheet instead of free writing it here. Here’s the link!
