Quite a bit happened while we were away on hiatus; here are the highlights.

I’ve been waiting for this for a while: The UK children’s comic The Phoenix is finally available as an iPad app; before this, you could only buy it in a specific grocery store in the UK. The app includes a free preview issue, and for a limited time they are offering a six-month subscription for $13.99 (which is a great deal because this is a weekly comic). Chris Sims has a review at Comics Alliance.

Raina Telgemeier talks about what went into writing her latest graphic novel, Drama, at Comic Book Resources.

Drew McCabe picks the best all-ages comics and graphic novels of 2012 at Comic Attack.
