Ask Jason Reynolds Anything!

SLJ is crowdsourcing interview questions for Reynolds, the 2023 winner of the Margaret A. Edwards Award, to answer in a live Instagram event on Thursday, March 30 at 3 pm ET. What do you want to ask him?

Jason Reynolds is the recipient of the 2023 Margaret A. Edwards Award for his books When I Was the Greatest, The Boy in the Black Suit, All American Boys, Ghost, and Long Way Down. The award, given annually by the Young Adult Library Services Association, a division of the American Library Association, and sponsored by School Library Journal, recognizes Reynolds’s “significant and lasting contribution to writing for teens.”

We are excited to invite our readers to submit questions to Reynolds, a selection of which he will answer in a live Instagram event on March 30 at 3:00 pm ET and SLJ’s June 2023 issue. Ask about his books, the award, or anything else you’ve always wanted to know! We will be considering the first 200 questions received, and questions may be edited for length or clarity.

Questions are now closed, but please tune into the SLJ Instagram on March 30 at 3:00 pm ET to see Reynolds answer questions live!
