Queens Library in New York began its first-ever pre-kindergarten class at the Woodhaven branch on September 22. The library is the first in the nation to provide formal early childhood education at its libraries, using dedicated, licensed early childhood educators hired by the institution for the program. Joshua David Bellin celebrated his debut YA novel's book launch on September 22 at the Pittsburgh-area Mystery Lovers Bookshop in Oakmont, PA.
