Fresh comics this week from BOOM! Studios’ kids’ imprint, kaBOOM! Frank Gibson and Becky Dreistadt are no strangers to lovers of indy comics and webcomics; their Tiny Kitten Teeth is a charming webcomic done in a retro, Little Golden Books sort of style. Now they are teaming up for a new comics series, Capture Creatures, which debuts this week, and we have a look at the first issue. Here’s the premise:

Over a hundred wonderful and terrifying creatures have suddenly appeared on Earth. Two teens set off on an adventure to investigate the origins of these curious creatures and learn how they can stop those who are trying to destroy them.
