Urban Libraries Unite 24-Hour Read-In. The activism event began on June 9 as part of the
#InvestinLibraries campaign, which is raising awareness and protesting the recent proposed budget cuts being made to New York City's public libraries. The Read-In coincided with a City Council Stated Meeting taking place at City Hall.
