Following on the success of their Science Comics line, First Second announced at New York Comic Con that they will launch a new line of how-to comics. The first one will be a book on baking by Falynn Koch, creator of Science Comics: Bats and Science Comics: Plague Germs (GC4K readers got a look at her work, and a hint about this particular book, in our recent interview with her). As with the Science Comics, each book will be independent, with a different creative team; future titles include Chris Schweizer (author of the Crogan adventures) on auto mechanics, Alexis Frederick-Frost (Sleepless Knight) on gardening, Sarah Myer o making costumes, JP Coovert on cartooning, and Coleen AF Venable (Guinea Pig: PI) and Kathryn Hudson on electronics and robotics.
