Taco Bell has a new commercial called The Librarian, and I have a few problems with it.

First of all, what the h is that book?

Kanine Crash? Never heard of it. This questionable read aloud choice makes it clear that this a sub-par librarian we’re dealing with.

The librarian can’t handle her failed read aloud debacle, and needs a break. Let me state the obvious here: this all could have been avoided with a better book choice.

And that’s when things get weird.

The librarian retreats into a fully automatic panic room.

What does she do there? Reflect on her failed read aloud and make a plan for how to do better next time? Sign up for a children’s literature class? AT LEAST GOOGLE ‘GOOD READ ALOUDS FOR KIDS’ OR SOMETHING???

No. She eats some Taco Bell.

You can’t hide out in your panic room forever, librarian. The kids are waiting for the next book.
