I usually cover books for the K-4 crowd here, but I’m making an exception today. The award – lots of award – winning March trilogy should be required reading for all Americans. Now the follow up trilogy, Run, is set to begin this August. You can read more about the book and see some interior art at the Wall Street Journal cover reveal.

Calling Caldecott is usually pretty quiet this time of year, so I was happily surprised to see this post about new books that seem mighty Caldecott-y. I’ve really got to find A Most Unusual Day.

Next person who says, editor, agent, critic, or reader, books by PoCs won't sell, can fix their eyes on this weeks NYT Bestseller list, where 50% of the books are by people of color.

I decided to type “children’s literature” into the Youtube search box and filter the results by most viewed. This video, called Terrifying Children’s Book was second on the list, with 1.1 million views. The horror of a low battery in a board book.
