Little Red

Little Red by Bethan Woollvin. Out April 1, 2016.

I welcome twists on folktales with open arms. I particularly liked this take on the Little Red Riding Hood story by debut author/illustrator Woollvin, where our protagonist, axe in hand, is fully capable of saving herself.

Post of Week Banner

In case you missed it, Steve Sheinkin shared his latest Walking and Talking With… comic the other day. This time, Dav Pilkey is the guest walker. I love these.

Books On Film Banner

A double feature today. First up, the latest trailer for the upcoming The Little Prince animated film. I like the looks of this.

Next up, a holiday book extravaganza from KidLit TV, featuring John Sellers (children’s reviews editor for Publishers Weekly) , Maria Russo (children’s book editor for the New York Times), and John Schumacher (the Mr. Schu of Watch. Connect. Read.). They share their favorite new books for the holidays.
