WHEN I SAY SUMMER . . .

In Good Choice news, The Collaborative Summer Library Program has chosen Kwame Alexander as the 2017 Summer Reading Champion. I plan to show this video to students before the school year is finished:

Usually I don’t hawk merch around here, but Kohls is featuring Little Golden Books in their Kohls Cares collection, with “100 percent of net profit benefitting children’s initiatives nationwide.” Click here to learn more.

The Wolf

THE WOLF THE DUCK & THE MOUSE by Mac Barnett, illustrated by Jon Klassen.

This pair has a track record of must-read (and often award-winning) books. So I’m looking forward to this story, about a mouse that is eaten by a wolf only to meet a duck making the most of the same predicament.

Post of Week Banner

A word to the wise: sometimes the good blog ideas are the simple blog ideas. Like “How about we look at a whole bunch of bedrooms from a wide variety of classic children’s books?” I found myself scrolling and scrolling some more (and reading too). Well done, Three Books a Night.

And now, your moment of Zen.
