WHERE’S WALDO: THE ALBUM

Random bit of info time! Did you know Where’s Waldo creator Martin Handford illustrated the cover of The Vapors album Magnets back in 1981? A sign of things to come, I’d say:

KANYE WEST: VINTAGE CHILDREN’S BOOK BUYER

I shared this on Twitter, but a story this important deserves a double dip. And I quote trusted news source theybf.com:

Real headline alert! The film version of Dahl’s Esio Trot begins filming next month in England, and some big names are on board. Click here to read.

MO ROKER

In case you missed it: Al Roker from The Today Show interviewed Mo Willems. On top of being a fun interview, it directly led to my dream three nights ago where Willems was creating a pigeon book for each of the 50 states (i.e.: The Pigeon Goes to Maryland), and he called me “Jack”.

AWARD WINNER: BEST USE OF CATALOG CARDS

She decided to send them to the authors who wrote the books listed on the cards. This is cool. Click here to read.

JOHN GREEN’S ADVICE, VISUALIZED

Have you ever seen Zen Pencils? On the site, illustrator Gavin Aung takes interesting/inspirational quotes from a variety of sources and turns them into cartoons. The latest comic features some wise words from YA author John Green. Click here to read.
