At the #sljsummit this morning, our friends at Capstone debuted their fabulous advocacy video School Libraries Matter: The Changing Role of the School Librarian. The five-minute film, featuring the voices of administrators and peeks inside of buzzing state-of-the-art programs, is a rich explanation of the librarian’s evolving role, what school libraries do, and what they look like.

When Dr. Edwards hears other superintendents share that they let go of their librarians, he asks: Have you lost your minds?

The librarians and the CTO of Dr. Mark Edward’s Mooresville (NC) Graded School District presented an exceptional and inspiring panel, during which they shared their impact on their district’s learning culture and technology integration, as well as their evolving professional roles.  You just cannot bottle and share their presentation.  You kinda had to be there, but I urge you to look at their idea-packed slidedeck.
