Jeff Kinney reveals the secret origin of Diary of a Wimpy Kid and shares a bit of art from the next book.

In a video shot at New York Comic Con, Mike Kunkel talks about his return to Herobear and the Kid.

BOOM! Studios, the publisher of the Adventure Time and Regular Show comics, has announced a new mini-series, Regular Show: Skips, and an ongoing series based on the new Cartoon Network show Stevens Universe, which will premiere on Monday.

Jamie Smart’s comic Fish Head Steve has made the shortlist for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, which is just what it sounds like, an award for the funniest books. The final selections will be made by 200 UK schoolchildren.

I covered Prof. Carol Tilley’s talk on the history of anti-comics crusades at NYCC. She had some fascinating, gossipy details about the personalities involved, including a grudge that may have changed history, as well as selections from letters that children wrote to Dr. Frederic Wertham, responding to his claims that comics cause children to become juvenile delinquents.
