Hosted by Elizabeth Bird (l.), blogger, "A Fuse # 8 Production," and Lori Ess (r.), a former children's librarian now with Scholastic Reading Club, the event will stream live from SLJ's offices in New York City. Expect a no-holds-barred conversation about the most highly anticipated honors in children's publishing, including the prestigious Newbery and Caldecott awards. Stay tuned after the award announcements for a post-game wrap-up, and Bird and Ess will respond to your comments and questions via the live chat and on Twitter (#sljpregame). The 7:30 a.m. pre-game show will precede the award announcements, which will be streamed live at 8 a.m. from ALA’s Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia. After the announcements, the SLJ post-game show will commence at around 9:05 a.m. NOTE: For more livestream videos from SLJ, subscribe to our YouTube channel or follow us on Google Plus. Since any event with a pre-game and post-game show deserves a half-time show too, I'd like to nominate the Univited Loud Precision Band from Sandra Boynton's Blue Moo. (And thanks for the pre-game and post-game. Sounds like fun!)Posted : Jan 17, 2014 02:15
