Each year, 100 educators are selected to receive $2,000, and three of these winners are chosen to receive an additional $5,000, $10,000 and $25,000. Previous recipients have created 1-to-1 iPad programs, sustainability projects, and a "Listening for Literacy" MP3 reading improvement scheme. Applicants must be employed by an accredited K-12 public or private school located in the United State, and full-time educators, teachers, principals, paraprofessionals, or classified staff with effective projects that improve student learning. The application deadline is April 30, and the best place to start is with the ING Unsung Heroes Award Application. We are currently offering this content for free.
