Humble Bundle is including a print book in their My Little Pony bundle!
Humble Bundle is a great way to buy a lot of DRM-free digital comics for a little bit of money. They offer book (and game) bundles that typically last two weeks, on a pay-what-you-want model that has a couple of tiers. You get a nice batch of digital comics for as little as a penny, and if you pay more than the average price, you get even more—that’s a moving target. The My Little Pony bundle also has a $15 tier that includes even more digital comics and a $25 tier with a physical print book. I’m not sure if this is the first time Humble Bundle has included physical merchandise in its bundles, but it is rare. And this book is an exclusive, with two stories, one about the Cutie Mark Crusader’s encounter with the master of chaos and the other about how Twilight Sparkle and Spike first became friends.
If this looks like a good deal to you, be warned that you have to act fast: The bundle expires on Tuesday. Once you buy the bundle, though, you can download and re-download the digital books anytime in a variety of formats.
Another nice thing about Humble Bundle is that part of the purchase price goes to a charity; in this case, the charity is the Hasbro Children’s fund.
