Jim Henson’s The Storyteller Witches #1 – The magical world of Jim Henson’s The Storyteller returns to comics with some help from Archaia and Boom! Studios. Released as single issue one-shots, this anthology-style series focuses on the mythology of witches and witchcraft through the ages. Each issue will feature a different creator using different art styles and storytelling techniques. This first issue tells the tale of a young princess who must venture into the mysterious forest beyond the castle when her brother is kidnapped by a witch. The Lord of the Forest, an armor clad spirit who watches over the forest, comes to her aid, but unless she can figure out who to trust through her wits alone, her family will be cursed forever. Filled with the wonder and magic that only fairytales and folklore can hold, this comic will appeal to readers of every age.

Winx Club Magic Collection GN – Perfect Square collects their Winx Club series into one convenient volume. The Winx Club is a group of fairies who use their unique magical powers to fight evil. Bloom was a normal teenager until one day she discovered she actually had magical powers. She enrolls in the Alfea School for Fairies to learn to control her newfound powers, and makes special fairy friends who encourage and support her as well as help fight against scary monsters and trouble-making witches. Winx Club started as an animated series but easily made the move over to graphic novels. This omnibus collects all nine volumes of the Perfect Square original series for one low price. This is a great gift for new readers and fans of the franchise.
