Big news from Dark Horse this week, and we’ve got the scoop: Roger Langridge (Snarked!, Abigail and the Snowman, The Baker Street Peculiars) and Ryan Ferrier (Kennel Block Blues, D4ve) are teaming up on a new middle-grade graphic novel, Criminy:

Criminy follows Daggum Criminy as his peaceful life is suddenly interrupted when pirates invade his island. This invasion casts Criminy’s family out as refugees into the wild unknown in search of a new home. Soon, the Criminys find themselves hopping from one strange locale to another, each with their own bizarre environment, people, and challenges; putting Daggum and fam in constant peril as they search for a new peaceful place to call home.

The book will be a 96-page paperback and will retail for $12.99; it’s scheduled to go on sale on September 19, 2018. Ferrier is the writer on the project, and Langridge is the artist. His style has a retro look that’s reminiscent of old cartoons—check out our preview below! (Click images to enlarge.)
