ECRR spanishThe Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) and the Public Library Association (PLA) have released a new Every Child Ready to Read (ECRR) resource for librarians who work with Spanish-speaking patrons. Featuring Spanish-language activities and booklists, the Every Child Ready to Read® @ your Library® Toolkit for Spanish-Speaking Communities is available as a digital download from the ALA Store for $99. Launched by PLA and ALSC in 2004, Every Child Ready to Read @ your Library emphasizes librarians’ role in supporting early literacy at home by educating parents and caregivers. An updated edition was released in 2011.
