For the SLJ reviews editors, summertime means the start of a months-long nomination, discussion, and voting process that culminates in our annual Best Books list, which includes picture books, chapter books, middle grade, nonfiction, poetry, YA, and graphic novels for ages birth through teen. Each year, the editors begin by developing a long list of contenders, typically culled from the year's starred reviews.

This time, we're reaching out to the library community for input. What are your top titles? Add them to our shared Google doc. Who knows? Your favorites just might make the final list!
