An oversize alphabet book that offers a short, often alliterative, story for each of the 26 letters. The mini-narratives have the feel of nursery rhymes, sometimes cautionary, sometimes ironic, and sometimes just wisecracking. Rich vocabulary and sophisticated visuals extend the audience beyond those just learning their ABCs. The brilliant cartoon art, the zany humor, and the slightly warped perspective are pure Jeffers and pure fun.
