Apply Now for Innovations in Reading Prize 2014

The National Book Foundation is seeking nominations for its 2014 Innovations in Reading Prize. If your library or community has created programming, events, or technology that encourages the lifelong love of reading, apply now. Deadline is February 19.
Innovations in readingThe National Book Foundation, through its Innovations in Reading prize, rewards individuals and groups for doing exceptional, groundbreaking work that generates real excitement and passion for literature and books. The Foundation is particularly interested in applications from those that have developed interdisciplinary approaches and incorporate innovative thinking in design, technology, social change, social entrepreneurship, or other fields. Past winners include a cable show featuring teen reviewers, Little Free Libraries, and independent publishers. Winners receive $2,500 each and are featured prominently on the Foundation's website and in other digital publicity that reaches around the world. Applications for the Innovations in Reading Prize are available for completion online and are due by February 19.
