Underfunded libraries, schools, and any agency that provides educational services to children (this includes, but is not limited to schools, libraries, social service agencies, prisons or detention centers, churches or other religious organizations, and institutions of higher education) are invited to apply for one of the American Library Assocation's (ALA) three Coretta Scott King Book Donation Grants administered by the ALA's Ethnic Materials Information Exchange Round Table. Applications accepted through January 31, 2015. Awarded by the Coretta Scott King Book Awards Committee, the grant program provides books submitted for consideration for the Coretta Scott King Book Awards. Three institutional recipients will be selected, and all three will receive copies of more than 60 titles by African American authors and illustrators submitted for consideration for the 2015 Coretta Scott King Book Awards, including a full set of the winning titles.
