"Be a Summer Reader; Be a Lifetime Reader" Says Kate DiCamillo

Award-winning author Kate DiCamillo stars in a series of short videos describing her love of libraries and reading.
In a recent series of short videos created for the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP), National Summer Reading Champion and award-winning author Kate DiCamillo describes her love of reading and libraries, talks about her new novel, and encourages kids to sign up for summer reading. "I particularly loved summer as a kid because it meant I got to go to my local library.... and I could read any book that I wanted to read and I loved that," DiCamillo explains. DiCamillo and CSLP have also put together a list of recommended reads.
