Teens Teach Tech Grants Application Now Available Teen advisory groups can apply for a $250 grant from Volunteen Nation to hold a Teens Teaching Tech program in the library. Teens Teaching Tech is a workshop series designed to provide older adults with one-on-one support with their modern devices from teens in the community, and to foster and cultivate intergenerational relationships. Volunteen Nation supplies the training materials and funding for promotional flyers, print-outs and volunteer staff T-shirts. Teens' Top Reads Voting is Open Teens' Top Ten, sponsored by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), is a "teen choice" list, where teens nominate and choose their favorite books of the previous year. Voting opened August 15 and runs through Teen Read Week, which is taking place October 12-18. Readers ages 12 to 18 can vote online on the YALSA website; the winners will be announced the week after Teen Read Week. Check out the trailer below for a quick overview of the 25 nominated titles.
