2024 Orbis Pictus and Charlotte Huck Awards Announced

Border Crossing by Sneed B. Collard III wins the 2024 Orbis Pictus Award, while The Probability of Everything by Sarah Everett earns the 2024 Charlotte Huck Award.

The National Council of Teachers of English has announced the winners of the 2024 Orbis Pictus and Charlotte Huck Awards.

Since 1989, the Orbis Pictus Award has recognized excellence in nonfiction for children. The 2024 Orbis Pictus Award winner is Border Crossings by Sneed B. Collard III, illus. by Howard Gray.

The Orbis Pictus Honor Books are:

 
The Charlotte Huck Award was established in 2014 to honor excellence in children’s fiction writing. The 2024 Charlotte Huck Award goes to The Probability of Everything by Sarah Everett.
 
The Charlotte Huck Honor Books are:
