Watch: 2017 Battle of the Kids’ Books Premieres First-Ever “BOBCAST”

The ninth annual Battle of the Kids’ Books (BOB) is ready to officially launch on Monday, March 13. This year’s contenders are raring to go, and a team of BOB experts (or BOB-casters) gathered together to share their predictions on this year’s March Madness–type kid lit tournament. SLJ/LJ reviews director Kiera Parrott holding up cue cards for the BOB-casters.

During the first-ever BOBcast, SLJ reviews manager Shelley Diaz and one-third of the Battle Commander and educator Monica Edinger offered their forecasts on which titles might make it all the way. BOB illustrator and SLJ creative director Mark Tuchman and a celebrity author judge also made guest appearances on the program.
