I can’t say with certainty that books featuring ninjas are on the rise, but looking at the lay of the land in 2014, it sure seems that way. Seeing as how anything with a ninja flies off my school library shelves (including the sneakily super-popular Nighttime Ninja by Barbara DaCosta and Ed Young), I am for this. Here’s the 2014 ninja-related fare I’ve found:

Dojo Daycare by Chris Tougas (out August 18, 2014)

Ninja! by Arree Chung (out June 3, 2014)

Ninja Red Riding Hood by Corey Rosen Schwartz; illustrated by Dan Santat (out July 10, 2014)

Ninja, Ninja, Never Stop! by Todd Tuell; illustrated by Tad Carpenter (out now)

Ninja Boy Goes to School by N. D. Wilson; illustrated by J. J. Harrison (out July 8, 2014)

The Ninja Librarians by Jen Swann Downey (out now)
Any 2014 books to add?
