WordGirl vs. the Energy Monster

K-Gr 4—WordGirl is back with three episodes in which she fights crime and presents new vocabulary words. In "Dinner or Consequences," the animated heroine and her monkey, Captain Huggy Face, are trying to save the world from Dr. Two Brains and the Energy Monster. The villains are plotting to turn the whole world into cheese, and it's up to WordGirl to stop them. In "Best Fan Club Meeting Ever," WordGirl must save the clubhouse. Scoops, Becky, Bob, and Violet spend a "Day at the Museum" and search for a haunted treasure. Each episode, introduced with a catchy theme song, features several new vocabulary words. The meanings of the words are reinforced throughout the episode, and they're also acted out so viewers can easily grasp their definition. The words for these episodes include "consequences," "feast," "rely, "divulge," "deadline," "eavesdrop," and "rumor." Bonus words, games, and printable coloring pages are among the special features.
