Who Let the Dog In?

Gr 1–2—Deputy Becky Coyle, school resource officer, has written a school safety series meant to instruct young children to stay safe. In this simplistic offering, Officer Brown teaches kids to never open doors for a stranger, a parent, or even a friend. Of course, the students open the door for a dog that wreaks havoc in the school. The officer thus states, "School safety is easy, if you follow the rules." The clunky animation, consisting solely of people and things rocking back and forth, with repetitive music in the background, is uninspiring and unnecessary. Even the website provided had a dead link. Here's a better one: cops.usdoj.gov/supportingsafeschools.
VERDICT Save your money and keep the doors shut.
