When they find out that they'll be at Grandma's for Christmas, they frantically write letters and draw maps so that Santa will still be able to find them. Imagine their horror when they arrive at Grandma's and realize that she doesn't have a chimney! Grandma saves the day by building a "Super-Swishy Santa Slide" from the roof to the front door. Bright, colorful watercolor illustrations are pleasing to look at, but the story lacks depth and any real suspense. This is a modestly pleasant but additional purchase.—Madeline J. Little mouse Squeak worries that Santa won't find him and his sibling, Bubbles, when the family goes to Grandma's for Christmas. The sweet story's warm, cozy illustrations picture the critters diligently writing a letter and drawing a map for Santa; Grandma's impressive "Super-Swishy-Santa-Slide" serves as a solution when the mice realize her house doesn't have a chimney.
