PreS-K–A song from the popular YouTube channel “CoComelon” gets a fresh format in this new board book. Fans of the show will recognize JJ, TomTom, and YoYo as they craft a “Thank-You Tree” collage for their parents. The siblings use paper leaves and Polaroid photos to illustrate what they are most thankful for. Illustrations and text blocks blend screenshots with lyrics from the original video. Background patterns are bright and engaging, in a blend of autumnal plaids that highlight the Thanksgiving feel of the book’s message without committing to the holiday theme. Colorful music notes illustrate the sing-along chorus. Familiarity with the franchise is a plus.
VERDICT A charming addition to a preschool board book collection.
