Oh Dinosaurs!, this offering also incorporates colors, opposites, and fun vocabulary like gallop and plodding. Curious young listeners will pore over the watercolor visual index in the back featuring nine interesting dino varieties.
VERDICT Though the somewhat generic title could potentially doom it to obscurity in a herd of other prehistoric picture books, Volpin's clever vocabulary and endearing watercolors make this a satisfying addition to the storytime canon.
