It provides a wealth of information, such as the origins of vampires, their powers, shape-shifting abilities, myths, tips for spotting and protecting oneself from them. When Brooks is murdered in 1920, the guide is passed to his successor, Joshua Kraik, a private detective. Like other titles in the series, Vampireology presents its textual material with beautiful illustrations and an appealing layout.
