Gr 10 Up–Alison leads a double life in New York City. Runberg and phenomenal illustrator Andolfo have teamed up with Image comics to release this amazing graphic novel in English, originally published in France as Les Chroniques d’Under York. Teen readers will love the lore of the magical underworld and all its nuances. The story has a literary quality to it, but the fast pace paired with eye-catching artwork makes this graphic novel a complete package that will appeal to many readers. Alison and her family are depicted with dark brown skin, and there is cultural diversity seen among the other magic sects of Under York, including African, Irish, Chinese, Mexican, and Indian communities.
