Even after a busy farmer's market, there's still more for the family to share. Everyone gets to enjoy the tomatoes: the teacher, the tailor, the sailor, etc. Simple rhyming couplets flow nicely throughout. Bright, upbeat, and cheerful spreads celebrate life and its bounty.
VERDICT A fun-filled tale about family and gardening, recommended for storytime and gardening units.

Grandfather's backyard vegetable garden has produced a more-than-bountiful crop of tomatoes, so the grandparents and small grandson dance and romp from page to page distributing the excess to neighbors and friends all over town. The rhyming text is rather aimless, but the cartoony illustrations are sunny and lively, with juicy tomatoes on every page.
