PreS-Gr 3–This third entry in Charles’s “All Because You Matter” series is expanded by the author’s inspiring narrative tone. ­Starting with a visit to a planetarium, the story moves into a celebration of the past, starting with the Big Bang and leading into hope for the future and the strength of young people. The audio, which includes options for listening with and without ­page-turn sound effects, opens with cheerful guitar, horns, and drums; it includes sound effects that complement the print version’s illustrations. Still, it’s not necessary to have the print book at hand, though it will make for an even more engaging read; it’s also unnecessary to have read the other books in the series. Charles’s ­narration is confident, friendly, and inspiring, with gentle poetic pacing. It closes with an author’s note, an illustrator’s note (read by the illustrator), and a glossary with Spanish translations and context for terms, such as “good trouble.”
