Gr 2–4—Enter a world where magical butterflies not only exist but can talk and grant wishes. Readers meet Queen Rose Glow, Sky Dance, and Shimmer Leaf, who live in the Silk Meadow. The special powers of newly formed butterflies are endangered by an enchantment that must be broken. Human sisters Addie and Clara discover the magical world in their new home and team up to help the butterflies regain their powers, and earn a wish for their efforts. There are limited illustrations and lengthier chapters compared with similar titles.
VERDICT A good stepping stone for readers not quite ready for longer novels; bound to be popular among fans of the "Rainbow Magic" series.
