The special powers of newly formed butterflies are endangered by an enchantment that must be broken. Human sisters Addie and Clara discover the magical world in their new home and team up to help the butterflies regain their powers, and earn a wish for their efforts. There are limited illustrations and lengthier chapters compared with similar titles.
VERDICT A good stepping stone for readers not quite ready for longer novels; bound to be popular among fans of the "Rainbow Magic" series.

Sisters Addie and Clara discover Wishing Wings, butterflies that talk and grant wishes, in their new yard in the country. Vibrant descriptions of the Wishing Wings' grove provide a colorful backdrop as the sisters learn to help the magical butterflies--and each other. Grayscale illustrations portray the sisters' emotions and the magic of this backyard world. An approachable first fantasy series for newly independent readers.
