Toddler-PreS–This thoughtfully designed and constructed work does double duty as a board book and early toy for the rolling, crawling, and toddling set. Unlike a traditional spine, the pages are cleverly bound on alternating edges, opening out into one long accordion-folded steam engine. The bouncy rhyming text is printed along one side of the fully opened book and wraps around onto the other, allowing for lively exploration of color, sequencing, and rhythm.

VERDICT A novelty, but an exciting and appealing one, recommended for all collections.
