When Owl and Skunk meet and befriend each other, the other animals worry that Skunk is in danger. When Possum falls from a tree, it’s Owl to the rescue and the misunderstanding resolved. The watercolor drawings are bold, cute, and the use of dialogue bubbles and panel layout work well to move the story along.
VERDICT This charming book is a great way to deliver the message to children not to jump to conclusions or judge someone before they know them. A solid addition to most collections.
