PreS-Gr 4—Red Yarn, aka Andy Furgeson, sings 12 songs in bluegrass, classic rock, and folk musical styles. Eleven of the songs are traditional folk songs, and one is an original by him. Several musicians play a variety of instruments with pizazz, including guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, fiddle, synthesizer, and upright bass. A couple of the songs were recorded in a venue with an echo, possibly a school gym, with a large group of children singing along. Song titles include "The Deep Woods," "Bob the Rabbit," "Old Blue," "Rattlesnake," "Buckeye Rabbit," "The Fox," "Wake Snake" "Turkey in the Straw," and "Go to Sleepy."
